League Finder USA Terms of Service

1. Marketplace Role

League Finder USA is a technology marketplace and registration platform for recreational sports opportunities offered by independent organizers. Except where expressly stated in writing, League Finder USA does not organize, operate, coach, officiate, supervise, inspect, insure, or control the underlying league, facility, personnel, or participants.

Organizers are independent third parties. Verification is not an endorsement, safety certification, background check, quality guarantee, insurance confirmation, or representation that League Finder USA supervises the organizer.

2. Eligibility and Accounts

You must be at least 13 to create an account. Users under 18 may not use direct messaging. A parent or legal guardian must authorize a minor registration that creates a financial obligation, accepts a waiver, or requires sensitive information. A child under 13 may participate only through a parent or guardian account.

Provide accurate information and protect your credentials. Accounts may be restricted for fraud, abuse, safety concerns, unlawful conduct, chargeback abuse, or violations of these Terms.

3. League Listings and Organizer Information

Organizers are responsible for accurate price, dates, location, game days, skill level, age restrictions, rules, deadlines, capacity, and cancellation/refund terms. League Finder USA may review or remove listings but does not guarantee every organizer statement.

4. Registration and Pricing

The final Player Price shown before payment is the amount the player pays. It may reflect League Finder USA’s commercial arrangement with the organizer; internal fee, margin, and payout details are not required to be shown to players.

When an organizer collects payment directly, the Services identify that arrangement. The organizer is responsible for external payment security, refunds, chargebacks, and disputes except for problems caused solely by League Finder USA.

5. Refunds and Cancellations

Each organizer must publish a refund and cancellation policy before registration. League Finder USA may administer eligible platform-payment refunds while the organizer remains financially responsible.

After the payment period closes or the first game day, whichever occurs sooner, organizer validation may be required. Full organizer cancellation before the league begins ordinarily results in a full Player Price refund. There is no separate cancellation penalty solely for cancelling, but actual unrecovered third-party costs may remain the organizer’s responsibility.

Partial cancellations follow the disclosed organizer policy, subject to law and League Finder USA intervention where terms are absent, misleading, unlawful, or the organizer materially failed to provide what was purchased.

6. Required and Optional Communications

Accounts and registrations require transactional and operational communications. League Finder USA marketing and each organizer’s marketing are separate optional choices. SMS is subject to applicable consent and carrier requirements.

7. Sports Risks and Organizer Waivers

Sports involve inherent and other risks, including contact, falls, collisions, equipment failure, weather, travel, facility conditions, illness, serious injury, disability, or death. Participation is voluntary and these risks cannot be eliminated by a technology platform.

Organizer-specific waivers and rules are separate agreements. League Finder USA does not guarantee their enforceability. Nothing releases liability that cannot lawfully be waived.

8. Youth Participation

Parents and guardians are responsible for evaluating a league for a minor and reviewing organizer supervision, safeguarding, facility, waiver, and participation requirements. League Finder USA does not conduct background checks unless it expressly states that a specific check was completed.

9. Ratings and Structured Reviews

Eligible verified participants may submit ratings and predefined tags. Free-text public reviews are not part of the intended system. Organizers may flag but not edit or remove ratings. League Finder USA may moderate for eligibility, duplication, manipulation, rule violations, or legal concerns.

10. Prohibited Conduct

Prohibited conduct includes fraud, fake leagues, impersonation, harassment, discrimination, unlawful conduct, hacking, malware, unauthorized access, scraping, fee circumvention, misuse or resale of personal information, and manipulation of reviews, registrations, payment status, capacity, or completion information.

11. User and Organizer Content

You retain content you lawfully submit and grant League Finder USA a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, display, format, distribute, and use it as reasonably necessary to operate, improve, market, and promote the Services and relevant listing. You represent that you have the necessary rights.

12. Intellectual Property

The League Finder USA name, software, interface, design, branding, compilation, and owned platform content are protected by applicable intellectual-property law.

13. Third-Party Services

Payment, identity, mapping, analytics, and organizer-operated services may have separate terms and privacy policies. League Finder USA is not responsible for services it does not control except as required by law.

14. Disclaimers

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” LEAGUE FINDER USA DOES NOT GUARANTEE THE QUALITY, SAFETY, SUITABILITY, ACCURACY, LEGAL COMPLIANCE, INSURANCE, BACKGROUND SCREENING, FACILITIES, OFFICIATING, SCHEDULING, OR PERFORMANCE OF AN INDEPENDENT ORGANIZER OR LEAGUE, OR UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE SERVICE.

15. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, LEAGUE FINDER USA AND ITS AFFILIATES, OWNERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, PUNITIVE, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, OR LOSSES ARISING FROM INDEPENDENT ORGANIZERS OR OTHER THIRD PARTIES, EXCEPT WHERE LIABILITY CANNOT LAWFULLY BE LIMITED.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, AGGREGATE LIABILITY WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF LEAGUE FINDER USA SERVICE FEES PAID BY YOU DURING THE PRIOR 12 MONTHS OR $100, EXCEPT WHERE PROHIBITED.

16. Disputes Between Users and Organizers

League Finder USA may assist with communication, refunds, moderation, or support but is not required to resolve every dispute and does not thereby become the league operator.

17. Governing Law and Courts

Michigan law governs except where mandatory consumer law requires otherwise. Subject to mandatory law, unresolved disputes with League Finder USA will be brought in an appropriate Michigan state or federal court.

18. Changes to the Services or Terms

League Finder USA may modify the Services and Terms. Material changes may be communicated and may require renewed acceptance. Completed transactions are not retroactively altered except as required by law or agreed by affected parties.

19. General Provisions

If a provision is unenforceable, it will be limited or severed to the minimum necessary. Failure to enforce is not a waiver. These Terms and incorporated policies form the applicable agreement.
